Description:
The author has developed a checklist for grading students' solutions to mathematic problems. The checklist has eleven questions that are answered with either a "yes" or a "no". A student's grade is determined by the number of questions that received a "yes" rating.
The author has used the checklist to grade several writing exercises by her students. No inter-reliability rating or other validity testing has been done on the checklist. The author describes the use of the checklist in depth in her article on the "Supporting Assessment in Undergraduate Mathematics" website on the Mathematical Association of America website (http://www.maa.org/SAUM/maanotes49/113.html).
